Introducing Typhoon

Wastewater evaporation, built around your site. A practical path from your challenge to a measured solution.

Meet Jim. Jim has a problem.

His local wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) will no longer accept his leachate. His ammonia levels are too high, and his leachate contains PFOS and PFOA. Jim is worried about treatment and transportation costs.

A solution designed for Jim.

Use robust, proven technology — NWCI Evaporation Systems. Choose a system that measures, reports on and proves the ROI. Each system is individually designed to meet your needs. The result: the right solution to Jim’s problem.

Pretreat. Evaporate. Return.

Start with PFOA/PFOS pretreatment — BioLargo / DESOTEC. Typhoon volatilizes ammonia, a gas lighter than air. Return unevaporated leachate (15%–25%) to a pond or tank using the Fast Flow Aerator, with dissolved oxygen as high as 10 mg/L. Goal (a): Biological degradation of organics or ammonia requires oxygen, whether in a tank or pond. Goal (b): Evaporate H2O while nonvolatile contaminants remain behind — rather than spraying the liquid 100 feet into the air.

Plan. Evaluate. Compare.

Engage NWCI to provide a historical and forward-looking evaporation projection. Evaluate pond size, drift and liquid characteristics. Compare the savings offered by NWCI.

Start with your site.

Review your location, liquid volume and current costs. Explore Praying Mantis, Lily Pad, TET and TEC+. Build a site-specific plan with an NWCI sales engineer.
