Automatic controls

LEACHATE & WASTEWATER EVAPORATION
Reduce leachate and wastewater volumes following pretreatment for PFOA and PFOS. Evaluate Typhoon equipment, weather-responsive controls and support for your site—with operating costs and long-term economics based on gallons actually evaporated.
MEASURE WHAT ACTUALLY EVAPORATES
Evaporation performance should be measured by the water actually evaporated—not simply the volume sprayed into the air.
A programmable logic controller (PLC) works with an on-site weather station to guide operation.
Humidity, temperature, wind speed and wind direction inform adjustments to the rotating basket’s speed, changing the droplet size.
These controls help promote evaporation and limit off-site droplet movement as weather changes.
A droplet-size evaluator can be added to provide further information about the droplets being produced.
KNOW BEFORE YOU COMMIT
Your climate, liquid and operation determine the opportunity. Start with a site evaluation.
Review how location, weather and liquid characteristics shape your evaporation potential.
Put your current hauling or treatment approach alongside a proposed evaporation system.
Match the equipment, controls and support to the way your site operates.
TYPHOON COST BENCHMARKS
NWCI-reported operating cost benchmark.
NWCI-reported total cost benchmark: total costs divided by gallons actually evaporated over the ten-year period.
These benchmarks are a starting point for a site-specific evaluation, not a quotation. Your review should define the operating conditions, evaporation volume and costs included, including pretreatment and remaining liquid management.
Evaluate your site’s economics →TYPHOON EVAPORATION
NWCI can evaluate indoor or outdoor configurations. Capacity and operating costs are site-specific.

Land-based evaporation.

Floating evaporation systems.

Single-head enclosed system.
Multi-head enclosed evaporation.
Land-based and floating platforms for suitable outdoor sites.
MANTIS: land-based platform.
LILYPAD: floating dock system.
Enclosed configurations with heating options for your operating requirements.
TET: single-head system.
TEC and TEC+: larger multi-head systems.
Ask about NWCI Cloud monitoring, performance reporting and managed support as part of your system evaluation.
YOUR SITE. YOUR NUMBERS.
Start with your location, liquid volume and current disposal approach. Ask NWCI to evaluate the capacity, system fit and operating assumptions for your site.
