Daily Cover Enhancement
SuperSeal 40 is generally added at the time when the dry chemical portion of the cover material is added to the CAPS or other application machinery. It does not change the mixing time of the standard product, but enhances its ability to withstand the moisture or rain events. For light moisture events, the number of bags is generally 1 bag for each 700 gallons of water added to the tank. High intensity rain events calls for 2-3 bags for each 700 gallons.
Interim Cover Enhancement
SuperSeal 40, like the daily cover enhancement, is added when the dry chemical portion of the cover materials are added to the CAPS machine. The addition of SuperSeal 40 is aimed at making the less expensive ConCover SW act more like NWC’s longer term ConCover 180. SuperSeal 40 creates a stronger filming capability because the acrylic polymeric matrix is stronger and stands up to moisture better then cellulosic polymers used in the cover material. For interim cover enhancement use, NWC recommends that 2-4 bags of SuperSeal 40 be added for each 700 gallons of water.
Long Term Cover Enhancement
Like all of the other cover materials, SuperSeal 40 should be added when the dry chemical portion of the cover materials are added to the CAPS machine. The addition of SuperSeal 40 to ConCover 180 makes the product denser and less spongy, and eliminating some of the air entrainment into the product. This creates a stronger more resistant product. For ConCover 180 use, NWC recommends that 2 bags of SuperSeal 40 be added for each 500 gallons of water.
